Q. What is ESC? |
A.
All scores for handicap purposes, including tournament
scores, are subject to the application of Equitable Stroke
Control (ESC). This mandatory procedure reduces high hole
scores for handicap purposes in order to make handicaps more
representative of a player's potential ability. A handicap
determined from scores to which ESC has not been applied may
not be termed a Handicap Index.

UPDATES FOR HANDICAPS ARE PER GHIN SCHEDULING
FOR PENNSYLVANIA MEMBERS
|
|
The Handicap Chairman will enter GHIN scores for all NOMAD sanctioned
tournament outings.
Remember to always update your own scores in
GHIN when playing in a non NOMAD'S sanctioned outing in order to
maintain accurate handicaps.
If you don't want to do it yourself, just bring your scorecard from that
event and give it to Frank Prencavage or
Hank
Moyer and they will enter the score into GHIN.
Thanks
