What is the Nomads Golf Association?

 

We're Not Like Other "golf leagues", "As a registered USGA Golf Club Without Real-Estate" we offer our members "regular green fee rates" at our outings. Other "leagues" WILL charge their members the more expensive "outing rates" at their events. Advance Guaranteed Starting Times.

To attend an outing event just go to the schedule, see what event you want to play, go to the sign up sheet, and show up!!!! It's that easy.

What does it cost?

 
If payment is received prior to February 15th
  • Membership Renewal Dues $20.00............

  • USGA-GHIN Handicap Service (required for all members) $15.00...........Total Club Fees $55

 If Payment is being made after February 15th...
  • Membership Renewal Dues $30.00............
  • Hole-In-One (Outing - Fund) $20.00...............
  • USGA-GHIN Handicap Service (required for all members) $15.00...........Total Club Fees $65

Pay an extra $10 at each event for closest to the pin and low nets

"At each event you have the option to play in the Closest to pins and Low net games. Only $10..... $5 for CTP and $5 for Low net. Pay out is based on partisapants. Again, it's optional."

ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND INFORMATION

Rules for Alex's Lemonade Stand:

We have donated over $2200 to Alex's Lemonade Stand in the 5 years we have done this. It is optional to be in it.

If your in for that week, you pay for anyone's birdie or eagle. You must be in it to pay or have someone pay for your birdie's  or eagle's.  If we pay for yours, you pay for someone else's....

For every birdie each member that is in it for the event , you donate $1.00

For every eagle each member that is in it for the event ,you donate $5.00

For every double eagle each member that is in it for the event, you donate $7.00 

After each event, a executive will collect the money and give it to the trusurer.

WHAT IS GHIN?

GHIN

The GHIN Handicap Program software provides for scores to be electronically routed from any club within the GHIN network. Away scores are re-routed to the home clubs Clubs have access to the USGA Handicap Indexes of all other two million golfers on GHIN across the country. Clubs may inquire about the USGA Handicap Index of any visiting golfer on GHIN Each golfer can see the immediate impact that each new score may have on the individual's Handicap Index at the next revision via the Trend.

GHIN has made posting scores easy and simple. Clubs may selectively choose to use an easy-to-remember two-to six-digit local number to access their files. A menu will then appear, which can be customized, with all the necessary information for golfers to post their scores. The golfer's name, GHIN number, Handicap Index, score history, current date, and most-often-played tee will appear on the screen automatically. The golfer only has to enter the score and confirm the other information. Once the score is posted, it will then be shown on the screen and automatically saved. An optional musical tune can be played in the background for confirmation.

 

Hole in One Fund
 

A Hole-in-One made at any officially sanctioned NGA event wins the  fund.

As per NGA By-Laws; any member hitting an ace will collect 90% of the

Hole-in-One fund.

(Retaining 10% of the fund will ensure we always have a balance for additional aces.)

 

An officially sanctioned event (outing & golf trips) must be available for all members to attend. Events MUST be posted on the NGA web site and or in the current newsletter.

 

Hole-in-One assessment covers eligible members at all NGA events for the calender year.

 

Hole-in-One fund can be won on NGA sanctioned golf trips. In case of daily multi-round outings, fund cannot be won if second round is a teamed event (scramble).

 

Fund will carry over year to year.

 

Fund closes on May 1st annually. After which new or delinquent members will have the option to buy into the fund at each outing for the cost of $5.00 per outing.

Hole-in-One Assessment Fees

Discounted Rate (If paid before Jan. 31) $8.00

Regular Fee $12.00

(After May 1st) New or Delinquent members (per outing) $5.00
